That quote has always stayed with me. In fact, it was the spark that drove me to immerse myself in this incredible industry.

My fascination with premium cigars goes back twenty years. Having spent much of my career working in the luxury business, I learned an important lesson early on: true luxury doesn’t need to shout. I always wanted to create a cigar tailored to my exact palate—a cigar that doesn’t need a sales pitch. A product where, the moment you light it, the smoke speaks for itself in a way that is completely unmistakable.

A Decade in the Making: The Prima Tabak Atelier

Ten years ago, we began production at the renowned Prima Tabak atelier in Villa González, just outside Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic. I didn’t want to just put my name on a box; I wanted to be on the factory floor.

We spent endless days and sleepless nights at the blending tables, working side-by-side with third-generation tobacco masters like J. Dias, V. Losciuto, and S. Ramirez. Together, we relentlessly tweaked our ratios until the draw, the combustion, and the character matched exactly what I felt a super-premium cigar should offer.

The Anatomy of a Masterpiece

Making a cigar of this caliber requires an absolute refusal to cut corners. Our blenders and master rollers select only the highest-grade leaves from the world’s most prized tobacco fields—utilizing rich Dominican binders, bold Nicaraguan and Peruvian fillers, and flawless Ecuadorian and Connecticut wrappers.

In keeping with deep-rooted family traditions, our master torcedors roll every single stick by hand, pouring generations of guarded Cuban and Dominican cigar-making secrets into the bench. They roll with patience, precision, and genuine pride.

We don’t view these as just cigars; we view them as individual masterpieces. I am immensely proud of the dream team we have built in Santiago, and I personally stand behind every single stick that leaves our aging rooms.
